A MUST READ "Double Trouble"
#Incase you missed the last episode, read it up (here)
"Driver second Bus Stop dey o" I shouted to draw the attention of the old man driving. He stopped and I alighted from the last seat where I sat. I made my payment with him and waited for my #50 balance. It took him like ages to find #50 in his pocket while I waited with puzzled looks on my face. He searched his breast pocket bringing out bunch of squeezed Naira notes to check for 'change' there and couldn't find any. He adjusted his bottom to search in his back pocket, struggling with his fat belly and the steering and brought nothing out. He then called out to the passengers in the vehicle for help "please is anyone paying with #50 here?” The young man seated next to me from the back seat while I was in the bus then asked, "How much is he paying?" and the driver replied, "#50". "Ok" said the young man as he deepened his hand in his pocket and handed #50 note to the driver. I collected my balance from the old man and left towards the direction leading to my street. I walked across the road with my tired looking bones towards the street. The sky wasn't looking friendly at all and it was certain that it would rain in the next couple of minutes. The wind was howling slowly and few drops of rain here and there, though it hasn't taken a formal shape that could deter people from their normal day activities.
I got to our gate and finally into my room and wow, she had kept the room real clean with nice smell of an airfreshner flavour I've never known before. She lay on the bed horizontally using the pillow to support her head, watching the television. My stripe brown polo looked really nice on her, though, it was too big on her small body. She wore small shots that just covered her butts a little with the polo, thereby exposing her spotless chocolate laps. She smiled at me as I entered. "See his face" she said, "why are you squeezing it like that?" she asked. I kept mute, dropped my small bag on the wardrobe and started to undress. "Where did you get the airfreshner from?" I asked. She kept quiet and pretended she didn't hear me. I ignored that as I was still undressing to change clothes. I removed my shoes and kept it on the wardrobe with my stockings in it. "Oh my God!" she exclaimed. She jumped from the bed at once, rushed and collected my shoes from the wardrobe and took it outside the room, just by the door side, while I watched with a very confused state of mind. I thought about many things within that second. Could it be a scene from the movie she was seeing on the TV that made her shout or what? I was staring at her, speechless. "Baby, don't make me believe you are this dirty! Gush! Look how your shoes smell and you couldn't even keep it outside but...." "But what?!" I interrupted "what do you mean?!. That I can't keep my shoes where I want or what?" "It's not that, just that i..." she said calmly. "Oh please!" I interrupted again, "Bring it back inside please. Make rain no touch that shoes abeg" I pleaded as I went to get the shoes back inside. I dashed out of the door, collected the shoes and at a second thought, I had to tell myself the truth for God's sake. I knew the shoes smelt real bad. But why couldn't I allow my unnecessary ego to accept that fact at first? Well, I didn't want to make her feel she was right anyway. I have to be the man always as I have ever wanted. I kept the shoes outside still but at a corner where rain would not get it. Opening the curtains as I got back inside the room, I gave her a smile and said, "You were right shaa" giving her a wink and a broader smile. She kept mute and maintained a stern face. "Sorry naa" I repeated. "No, you were right. One thing with you is that you always think that you have it all" she said and adjusted her pillow and resumed her movie.
Pamela is one girl that I can't explain the kind of bond that holds us together. Ever since her arrival to Enugu around 5: pm a day before, she has been all nice to me though on my own, I didn't have a true peace of mind. I couldn't figure out if it was because I was actually cheating on Jenny with her, or, because it was for the fact that she was a girl I met online on Facebook and we have only seen once when she came to see her father at the army barracks. On other side of my fear, she has told me quite a lot about her father online, even before we met. How a military man that he is both at home and in field. From all she told me then, I also figured out how fondly the Dad is with her. We met in real life after about a year of our active chats as friends on Facebook when she visited Enugu from Lagos for a wedding and also to see her Dad at 82 Div. Barracks. She has told me a lot about her background, even her origin. She is from Rivers state but her mother is from Nkanu west in Enugu state. She expressed her worst fear to be her Dad when he is angry and also her best friend when he is happy. Hardly does she discuss at full length with you without the mention of "My Dad this, my Dad that" but seldom talks about her mother that much. Rather she talks about one Aunty Chika whom she said is her mother’s youngest sister that stays at New heaven, a town inside Enugu metropolis. In all, Pamela is a girlfriend any guy would like to have. Nice hips, sexy lips, chocolate skin and a very sweet and tender tone that she's got whenever she talks, But, she's a very short girl. She talks a lot and plays a lot too. Laughs at jokes and most of all very lively and fun to be with.
I lay with her on the bed trying to make up for the voice I raised on her earlier. I drew myself closer to her using the second pillow to place on her belly as I tried leaning my back on that. She adjusted herself, shifted a little bit making the pillow to fall from her belly to the bed. I took the pillow again and placed it on her belly once more and she took it down again. We were both conscious of this speechless-drama and I know she liked it. "Stop joor" she said and broke the silent drama, trying to hide a smile. I continued placing the pillow on her, struggling with that until I overpowered her as she was now laughing heartily and very loud as we were on that. She eventually gave up and relaxed while I got comfortable on her with the pillow. "So, where did you get the airfreshner from?" I asked resting my head on the pillow I had placed on her. She kept quite as though she didn't hear me at first for a while and replied "I bought it". She paused a bit and continued with a more mild tone "Alex, I don't have to be on house arrest simply because I visited you. What will happen if the so called landlord saw me? Am I doing a wrong thing or do you have anything to hide? Why hiding me? Are you not proud of me?" she asked and continues "Eh? Alex...answer me. Are you not proud of me or do you have..." "It's not even that" I replied interrupting her gently. "I just don't want him to think that I'm..." "Forget that thing abeg!" she interrupted. "You are an adult for crying out loud. "Y-e-s!" she stressed beating her chest, "I went outside and bought the airfreshner and also indomie noodles that I cooked". "Hmm!" I said raising my head a bit to look at her face, "Did you get it from the Landlord’s shop? He saw you?" I asked inquisitively, "No, I went to that junction where you picked me yesterday when I came" I heaved a sigh of relief and rested my head back on her and said, "Better. Because I just don't want that man's wahala at all". .........

SAD!!! : wife narrates how husband was mudered "they snatched my joy because of #500"
Below is how Punch reported the incident
The wife of a vigilante has accused policemen attached to the Sapele Police Division, Delta State, of aiding the thugs who killed her 36-year-old husband.
The widow, Mrs. Esther Ifi, said the six-man gang had tortured her late husband, Mr. Jimoh Ifi, to a coma in the presence of the policemen around 8pm on July 16, 2014.
Punch Metro learnt that the gang had attacked the deceased for failing to remit a sum of N500 to the head of the vigilante group, Mr. Felix Ipemu. The sum, it was learnt, was given to the victim by a man who visited their joint in the Igbeku Community when the chairman was not around.
Our correspondent gathered that the leader of the group, who also doubled as the youth leader in the community, reportedly ordered his boys to unleash terror on Jimoh for being disloyal to the group.
Esther told Punch Metro that after falling into a coma, her husband was taken to the police station by the policemen.
The father of four was said to have died in police custody the following night.
Esther said the suspected assailants were being sponsored by a politician in the state. It was also alleged that the alleged sponsor had made entreaties to the deceased’s family to ‘settle’ the matter.
Narrating her ordeal, the widow said life had been difficult for the family since her husband was murdered.
She said, “It has been difficult for me to fend for the children since the gang killed my husband. They attacked him three times that very day. He was relaxing at home around 8pm when they attacked him again. Even though the police saw the gang beating him, they did not do anything.
“Instead, they bundled him inside their van and took him to the station. His brother and I begged them to release him, but they refused. It was the following day that we learnt he was dead. Just because of N500, they snatched my joy from me.”
Punch Metro further gathered that a separate team of policemen eventually swooped on the suspected assailants, leading to the arrests of the ringleader and one of his boys identified as Lugard Tebu.
It was learnt that four suspects were still at large.
In a petition filed to the Inspector General of Police, the Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, and the state’s commissioner of police, the solicitor for the family, Mr. Omajali Emmanuel, demanded the arrest of the fleeing suspects, adding that the policemen that arrested the deceased were also culpable.
The Zambian President, Michael Sata is dead!!!
President Michael Sata, who was 77, had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. He died in London, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness, three private Zambian media outlets said. He was elected as President in September 2011.
May his soul rest in peace!

A MUST READ! "Double Trouble"
That Friday last lecture was quite boring. Worst is that I hate the course and I also don't like the lecturer handling it. I wouldn't say that I "hate" the lecturer as a person anyway but he simply makes the course so boring and uninteresting for students. I had wondered what concerns my field with computer programming but couldn't figure it out. But I simply have no choice but to do the much I can at least to avoid the occasion of having to sit for carry overs.
The lecture, though was that boring and students were getting tired to go, wasn't really same feeling for me because I wasn't in the mood to go home. I was really thinking hard to find a possible gist that I could employ in order to dismiss the hard nut waiting for me to be cracked by the time I get home. The feeling I had that day while at the class was like that of a man that wouldn't want to go home after closing from work on a hectic day because of his family challenges, maybe from wife or kids. I was quite lost in my thoughts, thinking a lot that I didn't know when the lecturer left the class after dropping an assignment to be submitted to the class rep the following week. It was as students were murmuring over that, complaining of heavy load of other assignments already in their calender that I woke up from my vission.
Without wasting further time after the class, I gathered up my books and my other belongings and left. I was about climbing down from the second row of the staircase down to the ground floor when I heard her yelling after me from the upper floor. "Wait for me there!" she commanded and walked down hastily to meet me. "What's wrong with you, Alex?" she asked me with a more mild voice different from the one she has halted me with. "I'm fine" I replied. "Why did you have to talk to me like that yesterday night?" she asked. "How, when?" I asked. "You don't know?" she asked again. I was getting really uncomfortable this time and started to make a move down further. "Look Jenny, this is not just one of those times to argue please. I want to go home right away please" I said. "Lie-lie!" she retorted, "who was that with you when I called you last night?" "No one" I answered almost immediately. "Ehhhee?" she replied with a very suspicious look on her face. "Please, I would like to go now. I've somewhere to go from here before I reach house" I said. She held my hand as I wanted to go, drawing me close to her. I felt her ever hot but very soft palm squeezed into mine as always as she stammered, "Alex please what's wrong with us? You have been avoiding me lately and I really don't know what I've done. Please we need to talk..." I felt really touched here and also kinda embarrassed because we were in public for crying out loud. Jenny is someone that wouldn't really "send" anyone no matter what. She's not the type that would keep her relationship personal. She wouldn't mind letting everyone that cares to know that you two are dating. All I could respond to her after her request was "Ok. I felt a deep sense of guilt which I must not allow myself to reveal to her and made my way to go. By the time this drama was over, I discovered that virtually everyone has left the entire block of that building except for me and Jenny. I held her hand that way and made way to the ground floor. We parted ways not saying further word except "Bye" as she walked towards the direction leading to her Hostel in the school, just a few blocks away.
I crossed to the other side of the road and joinedother people going off camp to wait for the campus shuttle. Shortly after, a bus showed up and everyone was in. I was really fighting the guilt in my heart to make myself feel better. I knew I was doing something wrong but I don't want to accept it to be so evil as my conscience would make me feel. After all, everyone else does it. Why must I feel so different about mine? I kept thinking in and out of my thoughts. I was in a very depressed state of mind, worried for nothing if you asked me. I brought out my phone to press and found out I've received a lot of PINGS while at the class that I've not responded to. Pamela's own was at the top list to indicate she was the last I received. I opened it and it reads, "baby where are you?" I skipped hers, and started replying others. Jenny's own was the next and it reads "How are you" and I replied "fine" not taking note of the time it was delivered into my inbox. She chattted me back almost immediately, "Are you home now?". I thought first that those PINGS were ones I missed while I was in the class though and wasn't really expecting an immediate replies when I was responding to them. "No, still in the bus, heading to town" I replied. "Ok" she replied and sent again,"baby, I will come after clean up tomorrow. I mean after the general clean up in the morning". I read the message holding my phone still thinking of what to reply to her. My hand was sweating really so much and my heart beating really faster. "What will I tell this girl now" I thought to myself muttering. "Eh?" asked the next passenger in the bus, close to me. "No, bros" I said. " I wasn't talking to you". He looked at me and smiled. Again and again my phone vibrated on her 'PING!!!' "Baby, you there?" she chatted me again. I then typed immediately to respond to her, that "we will talk about that later, sweet. Let me get home first".......

Illegal immigrants arrested in Enugu!
ENUGU State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service has arrested 27 illegal immigrants, but lamented lack of funds to repatriate them to their countries. Deputy Comptroller in the command in charge of Intelligence, Investigations and Enforcement, Mr. Obetta Asogwa, while parading the illegal aliens mainly from Niger Republic, said they were arrested following massive raids carried out in Udenu and Nsukka local government areas of the state!
“One of the cardinal objectives of the Comptroller General of Immigration is to have a robust internal monitoring and control of foreigners living in our midst. He said: “It has become imperative to carry out these raids following the security challenges we find ourselves in.
“Many of such people are in the state because our big men use them as cheap labour. But we were able to get these today.”
The immigration boss noted that the command was fully determined to rid the country of such people, adding that the strategy put in place by the Comptroller General was designed to help them work underground.
He said: “We have immigration attachés in all the 774 local government areas of the federation to maintain robust immigration presence in the rural areas so there is no hiding place.”
While lamenting that the command did not have the funds needed to repatriate all the illegal immigrants, Asogwa said only 16 of the 27 of the arrested irregular immigrants would immediately be sent back to their country.
He added: “The remaining 11 will be technically discharged as we do not have the capacity to send them back along with their brothers.
“They are all supposed to go back to their country or they will continue to cause problems.”

Undergraduates will acquire, in addition to their university academic qualification, skills like: Developing new ventures or Start-Ups, Innovation and creativity, Business planning, Franchising, Partnership Funding, Product development, Branding & Advertising. Others are; purchasing materials, marketing, developing business plans and hiring strategies, Business management, Business law, Human Resource Management, Financial management, Operations management, e-commerce, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Information Management System, economic prediction, evaluation of new ventures and Entrpreneurial marketing. BOKO HARAM: Ceace-fire agreement collapses as Nigerian troops fights back
Last week, I reported here that FG has reached a cease fire agreement with Boko Haram. Well, recent development shows that the chaos is still on. Read the report according to Punch below....
The Nigerian troops seem to have abandoned the ceasefire between the Federal Government and Boko Haram as they killed 25 insurgents in Damboa, Borno State on Sunday.
Boko Haram was the first to abandon the ceasefire when it attacked two communities in Borno and Adamawa states.
Damboa was for several days in July under the control of the insurgents who killed some soldiers, including a Lieutenant Colonel. They had also hoisted their flag in the community which is only about 85 kilometres away from Maiduguri.
The military however succeeded in chasing them but on Sunday night, the terrorists staged a comeback but were overpowered by the “military during an exchange of gunfire.”
Boko Haram had on Friday, the day the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal, Alex Badeh, announced the ceasefire, attacked Shafa and Sina in Borno and Adamawa states.
Just as the attacks were viewed as a breach of the ceasefire, the insurgents struck again in Borno State where they captured Abadam village and beheaded six people on the Biu-Garkida Road on Sunday.
A military source was however quick to dismiss the belief that attacks by the insurgents amounted to a collapse of the ceasefire.
He had said, “One cannot say the peace deal has been violated; it is the nature of most terrorist organisations to act that way, and it should be expected because they have several layers of operation.’’
But findings on Sunday by The PUNCH had revealed that the Federal Government might have entered into the deal with a faction of the group interested in ending the insurgency in the North-East.
A Federal Government team is to meet on Tuesday(today) with representatives of the sect in Ndjamena to conclude the talks being brokered by Chadian President Idris Deby.

See the list of the 10 most influential women in Nollywood
The list of the most influential women in Nollywood as compiled by iCampus magazine. Read below...
Uche Jumbo: With over 16 movies, no actress in Nigeria can boast of heavy movie catalogue like Uche Jombo. There is also no other actress that commands the kind of reverence Uche does among fellow actresses and actors, most especially the young ones. The general saying is, Uche now has power to make star of a starlet, and only a handful of people will fall into that category in Nollywood. Despite being active production-wise, Uche’s face still adorns numerous posters as lead actress. Aside being the highest grossing actress-producer among her colleagues, Uche has two known properties, one in Lagos, the other in Abia, her home town (where she is a chief). Her influence in and out of the industry is definitely not in doubt.
Genevieve Nnaji: She might not have done any major movie of late but there is no wishing Genevieve’s influence away in Nollywood. Time and over again, except for ‘Doctor Bello’, she has delivered top box-office returns for every movie she featured in. Her less appearance in movies has been atoned for with appearances on website and blogosphere. She is one of the two most popular figures in Nollywood and has evolved into an influential and stylish brand with cult following. Aside delivering back to back box office returns (Ije, Weekend Getaway (despite negative reviews), Tango With Me, Mirror Boy, and most recently, Half of a Yellow Sun), Genny as she’s popularly called is the most ‘endorsed’ celebrity by corporate Nigeria. She has been reported to rake in millions most bank MDs will only dream about and has extensive investment in real estate. Aside all these, Genny has been reported to be the most stylish of the Nollywood top three; true or false, we can’t say but what is not in doubt is her popularity, influence and closeness to people in the corridors of power.
Rita Dominic: Long before many people left Asaba behind, Rita Dominic did. She was sure she has a way to evolve into something bigger. She did. She became known for style, selected few movies and went on to produce the smash hit, ‘The Meeting’ which reaffirmed her place as one of the leading women in Nollywood. Her human relations skill is almost next to none. Except for Monalisa, there is not a celebrity who won’t listen and take action if Rita calls. So entrenched is her influence that the president sent a representative to attend the premiere of her movie in Lagos.
Ini Edo: Love or hate the Akwa Ibom born actress, Ini is a financial war-chest of sort. Her brand value might not be at par with some Nollywood leading ladies but you can’t count top five richest actresses in Nollywood and her name won’t make the list. Aside being busy in both ‘old’ and ‘new’ Nollywood commanding figures between a million and N1.5 million, she has extensive and wide real estate investment that will make some realtors green with envy. Aside being close to powers-that-be in Akwa Ibom, Ini has invested in movie production as well. Aside her movies getting bought by online platforms, DSTV, marketers in Diaspora, her DVD market do good return on investment. And she’s beginning to exert her influence as executive producer, something only few actresses could lay claim to.
Mercy Johnson: If Genevieve Nnaji (who coincidentally is the mentor of Mercy Johnson) has delivered back-to-back return on investment (ROI) for movies in the cinemas, Mercy Johnson must have tripled that figure in the ‘downstream sector’ of Nollywood; Asaba, Enugu, Aba, Lagos, Alaba, and African countries. At a point in Nollywood, Mercy is what determines the trend of movies to be shot. If she acts comic role and the movie becomes popular, all other producers follow suit. If she acts corporate executive with her accentuating curve, that will then become the movie trend. MJ is still the higest paid actress in that part of Nollywood with the figure as much as N2million to N2.5million per movie. The closest challengers are Ini Edo (N1 million-N1.5million) and Chika Ike (N800 000). When she went on maternity leave for months, many producers shut down till she returned; Mercy is the market and the market is Mercy. As she prepares to become a more prominent figure in New Nollywood, let’s hope she can emulate her mentor and rule box office as well.
Blessing Effiong Egbe: She may not be very popular, as a matter of fact many Nollywood starlets are more famous but what Mrs. Egbe, the director and producer of Lekki Wives lacks in fame she makes up for in influence and money. Only few Nollywood producers could claim to generate as much as she does in influence especially among the upcoming and established stars that want to star in her hugely popular series. As at last check, Lekki Wives season 1 to 3 have sold over a million copies and a television platform bought the right to air for a year for about N50 million. Tell me about money and influence, there you have it.
Kate Henshaw: No other actress in contemporary era has transcended generation and evolved to give younger generation stiff competition like Kate Henshaw. She was in the generation of Regina Askia and Liz Benson, moved on to give Omotola and Genevieve a ride for their youthfulness, and now rolling with generation of Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju to rock live stage. Despite being over 40, Kate is truly ageless . Not only is she laying claim to Nollywood stake, she is one of the few old faces adorning live stage and charting new course for that part of Nollywood. She has the ears of the Governor and has been wearing the toga of ambassador for several corporate companies long before some of these present ambassadors joined Nollywood. If you doubt Kate’s influence ask the handlers of Onga seasoning, the kind of attention she has brought to the cooking seasoning and they will give you reasons her contract keeps getting renewed.
Omoni Oboli: Omoni is about the only A-list celebrity who has defied the norms in the industry. With less than 30 movies to her credit she rubs shoulder with who-is-who in the industry. Her rise to began after playing the lead roles in ‘Figurine’ and ‘Anchor Baby’ between 2010/2011. She generated conversation and ever since, people have not stopped talking about her. She is one of the few that went to the prestigious New York Film Academy to study directing and has so far shot three movies of her own, spending over a total sum of N60 million. Now, Omoni has the power to make a star out of a starlet. Her recent movie, ‘Being Mrs Elliot’ impressed from onset with the President, His Excellency Goodluck Jonathan hosting private guests at the Aso Rock to premiere it. The movie went on to make good impression at the box office and furthering consolidating Omoni’s place as one of the box-office queen.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde: It is impossible to tell the story of true Nollywood super stars without Omotola. She crisscrosses the Nollywood stage like a person born to be a star. She has been a star since 18, and almost two decades after, Omos*xy is still a star. With enviable career profile that include movies like Ije, Prostitute, Last Flight to Abuja, Blood in the Lagoon, and a TV soap she produced and directed, Omotola has more than earned her place. She has led more charitable causes than any other celeb, even as far as other African countries. So huge was Omotola’s influence that reputable Time Magazine named her as one of the world most influential persons. Talk about continental influence.
Emem Isong: Emem Isong is not an actress but her fame and most especially her influence far exceed most of the established faces. She has established herself as the foremost female movie producer in Nollywood both in the days of Asaba and in the new Nollywood, she boldly tell friends and acquaintances that she has never lost money in movie business. She gave a lot of our established stars first lead and till date she’s still giving leads, making movies, selling movies and raking in millions. She added the director-ship title to her many titles and from the look of things, Emem might still add more.
Stephanie Okereke: Stephanie was the first actress to break box office record in Nigerian cinema. Despite appearing less in movies, Stephanie’s fame over the years hasn’t waned. She runs a periodic film school in conjunction with New York Film Academy and has trained thousands of young people making revolutionary films. Many of them still give her kudos for bringing ‘New York’ so to speak to Nigeria at a far lesser price.
Uche Jumbo: With over 16 movies, no actress in Nigeria can boast of heavy movie catalogue like Uche Jombo. "The virus is gone for now. The outbreak in Nigeria has been defeated. This is a spectacular success story that shows to the world that Ebola can be contained," Vaz said.
